Ainslie’s First Birthday | Poulsbo Family Photographer

I so miss my babies at this age – the exploration, the curiosity, learning language and developing a personality! I especially miss the squishy lips and cheeks!  Photographing first birthday celebrations is such a joy for me, and I love providing these memories for my families!

Ainslie’s mama and I went to the same school growing up, and knew of each other through mutual friends. I was thrilled to get to know her better now, twenty years later! (yikes!)

We put together a quick, pop up studio set right in their living room. Poor thing woke up with a teething fever, as toddlers often do – but we wanted to give it a good try!  We went straight to cake, and proved the point that dessert, plus snuggle breaks, make everything better!!

Ainslie’s mama collected the darling, frilly, and girly props and outfits to create a SUPER SWEET look!! As the mother of three girls myself, I LOVED it!!

A photo session with a soon-to-be toddler is never without some mishaps!! Thankfully the cake survived!

Ainslie’s cake was specially made by her doting big sister!

I definitely need some fashion tips from this doll! I love her jean jacket and headband!

She was such a trooper! Time for more snuggles, some Tylenol, and a well deserved nap!

Happy birthday, sweet Ainslie! Happy birthday to you!
